Oh, how I love this post every year!!!

This is when I get to honor these babies I photographed what seemed like yesterday and with a blink of the eye... they turned into seniors! They are now wonderful young ladies and men and ready to go out into the world. Some of them I got to photograph almost every year and watch grow up... some of them went into hiding for several years and came out a new person... but either way... I feel blessed to have gotten to work with them for their senior photos.

I always hope this is not the end of the road with these kids. Their families have become like my family. Maybe I will be here long enough to photograph their kids senior photos one day! You just never know!

I wish the best for you all in your life's adventures. May they be many!

Here we go again!

My very favorite post of the year!!

It's the best feeling when I get the call every spring booking a senior photo session with a client I have worked with years ago when they were in their terrible twos or and active 5 year old! After I have a few moments of "OH. MY. GOD. are they ALREADY a senior" and collect myself... I know I am in for a treat. Some I get to see often through the years... and some not since they were little. But either way, I love catching up with them and seeing them grown into wonderful young adults.

These are the times I fall in love with my job all over again!

What can I say about Carly? I loved her the second I met her. Those eyes. That smile. That energy! I think I left that session a better person.

Carly is incredibly active in pretty much everything... I am almost surprised she had time for a photo shoot! Ready for a list of just some of the things Carly does in her "free" time? Volleyball (Capitan no doubt), Lacrosse, Mock Trial, Nation Honors Society, Youth in Government, Students Council, Health Club, Math League, Lasallian Youth Leader, Yoga, Mission Trips and Minnesota Page Program.... can anyone say President one day?

I think the coolest thing was that Carly had gone on a mission trip to Guatemala (where I had lived for 8 years and family created a non profit). It was fun to share stories of our travels.

I was thrilled to work with Carly for her senior portraits. Everyones lives that she touches is truly blessed. I know I have been!

Julia most reminded me of myself when I was younger. Goofy, fun, silly, and not afraid to step outside of the box. I had so much fun with her as I knew she was up for anything when we did the styled sessions. Julia has a style blog and is always up on the new trends as well as creating some of her own.

She is super involved at school and church. She was captain of the volleyball team at Wayzata and also in student council. Plus she can sing and is in the choir. Triple threat here guys! Outside of school, she is a member of the North Woods National Charity League.

Enjoy some of the images from her senior session and her styled session!

I wanted to spotlight the first Model Crew member... Anna Galioto, a senior at Holy Family High School.

I literally fell in love with Anna and her mom the second I met them. She is the sweetest human ever and I know her family and friends can attest to that. She also has a huge heart and has done mission trips abroad. It was fun to chat with her about her travels to Guatemala where I had also lived for 8 years.

She is very active in school with Student Council, Math League and Honor Society... but dancing is her love and what takes up most of her time. I wish her the best as she gets ready for the next stage of her life in college. I know that wherever she lands... the world will be a better place.

Please enjoy a few favorite images from her senior session and her model crew styled session!
